Our Story
The Block & Tackle was built in Jacksonville, FL in 1972 by Huckins Yacht. Though this ship has actively sailed on both coasts of the US and the Caribbean, it is most known for its iconic sunset cruises on the St Johns River.
While this 84’ 1972 Huckins Sportsman was custom made as a luxury cruiser and engineered for extended ocean cruising; it is a fully equipped sportsman. The large usable cockpit and deck space, along with expansive Salon, Dining Room, Full Kitchen and three staterooms allows for entertaining a multitude of people. Journey from the beautiful teak cockpit up to the observation deck and through the large sliding glass doors that lead into the main salon. With comfortable seating, a 10’ bar and plenty of room to move around, this luxuriously appointed salon lends itself to both larger and more intimate gatherings. From the salon, stairs lead to the master suite with 4-piece ensuite. From the salon you may also venture into the dining room boasting a dining table with six chairs and 10’ buffet. Continue into the galley which runs full beam containing a full-size oven, refrigerator, and four-burner stove along with an adjacent dinette with seating for four. Moving past the galley, enter the companionway that leads to the VIP stateroom with two twin beds and guest stateroom with three bunks. Located here are two 3-piece bathrooms to accommodate guests. Windows offer ample light throughout each area of this beautiful, climate controlled, vessel.
